The concept of the set seems to be nice but I am awaiting to see what it looks like on the web site.

Don't think I will be ordering one at their selling price.  Could be tempted if more than one item in set was silver.

Erik, see if you could obtain a 2013 clad and a silver set. I have a hunch that they might go wild in price like the 2012 sets. Just 4 months ago, I went into a coin shop and inquired about the 2012 clad and silver proof sets. Now the guy there is the son of the previous owner.....and NOT a good dealer....unknowing and a grump. I purchased all of the 2012 clad and silver proof sets he had at $36 and $76 respectively. He DIDN'T know what he was doing or the prices of those sets now. On eBay those sets are going for around $80 (clad) and around $160 (silver) respectively. I dealt with the initial dealer (The present owner's dad) for 40 yrs and he was a good dealer.

Perfekt, you done very good trade. You have to know everything about prices and then you can invest money. Amazing!. Good was as extend collection.
I think that those 2013 United States Mint Proof Sets is in very good price $32. Set contains 14 pieces 2013-dated coins in proof quality. I dont know how much is postage but if I lived in the USA I am sure that I bought it.

Set is now on sale.  Shipping date is 7th of March 2014.

I decided not to get the set, since it only has one coin in it.

Being a collector living outside of the US does present challenges.

As Erik nows, the US Mint does not ship to all countries.

You will be charged $14.95 plus a $2.95 handling fee per item for the United States Mint's International Shipping option. There will be an additional shipping and handling charge for oversized products, i.e., bags of 500 or 1000 coins.
Packages shipped using the United States Mint's International Shipping option usually arrive within 1 to 2 weeks.
You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are not reflected in our prices. Duties and taxes are levied by your country or other overseas authority once a shipment reaches your country.
You may also be required to pay additional charges for customs clearance. You should contact your local customs office for further information on applicable duties, taxes, restrictions, and fees.

In the UK for example, the value of item for customs/duty is based on the cost of the item plus the postage costs as well as a fee imposed for customs clearance.

They are supposed to calculate the value by changing US dollars to UK pounds, but I have had one case where they failed to do that and just took the dollar value straight as UK pounds (pound is worth today around $1.63).

On top of all this, is that you need to pay the US Mint in dollars and the credit card folks do not offer the best exchange rates.

Yes, I agree and I think better to buy or swap US coins from US coin collectors. I think US collectors can buy proof coin sets on shows for a few dollars. Shiping to Europe could be cheeper as from official trader.
Here is just problem - to find collector who is glad to help.

That is a kind offer Templar.

Right now I have to ways of getting new US releases to me either my trading or having them sent first to a US address.

So far for 2014, I am just going to be getting the standard cent thru dollar releases.  Not interested in the Civil Rights or Baseball coin.

No news about the Kennedy coin set.

Eric....trading is nice as long as both parties have coins that interest each other and the cost of postage does not make the trade too expensive.
