The United States (Our leaders) makes lots of mistakes.  We have a wide-open southern border.  We send too many jobs and businesses overseas.  We are spending money like a drunken sailor.  And we try to be policeman for the world.

Even so, we are the greatest country in the world.  I'm proud of our history, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Happy Fourth of July to all my fellow citizens, as well as our neighbors throughout the world.

Happy 4th! Two of my favorite days are the 4th and thanksgiving. Because they are simply American holidays which all Americans can share regardless of our religion or politics. Have fun and be safe folks.

Daughter was here yesterday with connection wires in her pocket, all set to scan and post the coin.

Spent most of the evening trying to fix an appliance for my wife.  Since my granddaughter has a swim meet today, they needed to go home early.

The mystery coin remains lying on my desk, staring up at me as I post this.

Maybe soon the mystery will be solved.

When you guys finally see this wierd coin, the wait will have been worth it.

My daughter would have attempted to post it last night, but was too busy with fireworks for the kids.

If she gets off work at the hospital early enough, we may give it a shot tonight.

The coin continues to lie on my desk, looking up at me.  Slightly smaller than a Presidential dollar, more thin, possibly a hammered coin/token, copper in color, language unknown.

Maybe inconsequencial.  Maybe a real find.  Maybe the truth will be known tonight.

I'm sorry you see a hoax in the Mystery Coin saga.

The coin/token looks very old, and I want an answer to the mystery more than anyone.

Daughter works until midnight tonight, but will come by to try and scan the coin if she gets off early.
