Good news from Amr.

I received an e-mail from Amr today and he asked me to pass his regards on to you all, so here is a copy of the e-mail....


I am much better now ..... nearly no numbness in my legs ...... still have some back ache but much much less than before.
I had a drawback since last Tuesday but today i am feeling well again.
I am not supposed to use the computer much as sitting for long time is not recommended for me by the doctor ..... a maximum of 15 minutes then i should either stand, walk or sleep I have disabled my facebook account a couple of months ago   just till i can sit again and use my PC

Send my regards to all the knights ..... hope they still remember the Egyptian collector

It is getting warmer in Egypt ...... as every year we have snow for one day and this time it was in Alexandria (220 KM from my home) and this time i think this is snow  

My back is better than before and the numbness is nearly gone (it is a very bad sensation, especially when it stays for 4 months ) .... i have limited the time i drive as much as i can and will start some daily exercises for my back .... still the doctors advice not to sit for long time whatever i am doing ( have you ever seen a dentist standing during operating )

Regarding collecting unfortunately i had to sell most of my coin collection as i needed the money but i kept some coins that i got as gifts from you and other coin collectors (gifts are not to be sold   )

The mail in Egypt .... i didint use it for quite a long time now to send or receive coins but i hear form the coin club i used to join that there are some problems with the customs the last 3 months and that it is considered illegal now to send or receive coins (i know that this law already exists for years but it seems that they are activating it these days   )

I have a friend who was relocating from Dubai and coming back to Egypt 3 months ago and all his coin collection was held by the customs and still till today he is not able to let them release it  

but i am still alive and the numbness didnt reach the collector inside me so i am trying to get back to my normal life and one of the first things on my priority list was to login to the castle and talk to you all

Now it is time to start collecting again ..... dont know if i will start to build a coin collection again or will start something new ................. i am sure that all of you collect many other things other than coins so if you all would give me some ideas (whether in this thread or a new one) it will be great

So what other collections you all have other than coins? .... stamps i know some of you do collect , Post cards .... tokens are interesting too .... will be happy to see some ideas

Sorry you had to sell your coin collection.  I also collect tokens and medals.

Medallions from coin clubs in Australia are also in my collection.

Well, I mainly just collect coins or any other coin-like object such as tokens and medals. But I also kind of collect fishing gear. I've gotten really interested in fishing the last 3 years or so. I mainly collect lures just out of the habit of buy a lot with the intention of using, but ending up with way too many. The actual organized part of that collection is really only one special edition one in it's unopened box, and about 4 used antique ones.
