Sir StacksALot

Jim has sent me an e-mail and said he has been locked out of the castle.
Does anyone know anything about this?  >:(

OK...he fell within certain IP addresses that were spamming us.

Have released his IP address now so he should be OK to get back in.

It is a daily battle to stop spammers getting thru the castle gates so sometimes we pick up the innocent with the guilty.

Sorry about that Jim.

Sorry Jim, that was most certainly me that blocked that IP address range.  I have been monitoring the IP range and the person who used it originally to spam has not used it again, so here's hoping they don't realise it's now been released.  ;)

I have only released some of that range of IP addresses.......IP addresses after Jim's still blocked.

Have checked and no other Knight or Knightess have been blocked.

Thanks Guys, I have let Jim know that he can re-enter the castle.
He was really worried that he had done something wrong.

I'm glad that it was not on purpose.  I check this forum every day, and I am very happy to be a part of this group.  Thank you for fixing the IP addresses.  What is thier goal when they are spamming? Are they trying to hack into the forum?

They get into the castles server and send spam emails to all in our address book. They can also send a virus to everyone.

Also they can use our server to send spam emails to anyone outside of the castle walls.  That could put our address onto a blacklist so that no one can get into the castle.

They are a pain in the neck.  Many just try to hack into our site and cause malicious damage.

It is a constant job that TKO, Nevol and I keep monitoring to keep them at bay.

Many thanks to you Humpybong and Nevol for keeping us safe.
Let's not forget TKO too, for his efforts in the background.
Glad to see you back in the castle, Jim. :)
