Back On-Line after 41 1/2 hour power cut
February 16, 2014, 07:37:02 AM
Over here in the UK, we all of the rain before and after Christmas is causing flooding.

So far our place has been safe because folks knew what they were doing back in the 1850's.

On Friday night there was a bad storm and our group of houses were without power for 41 1/2 hours.

We are running low on firewood since some bright spark decided that a firewood delivery was an luxury since the road is closed to thru traffic.

Erik did bring a bit of sunshine into this whole saga since some coins from him did arrive.  I have not opened his package up yet so I don't know what he sent yet.

So the mail man can get through. Get them to post some wood to you.  :)
I watched a TV program last night, it was all about what would happen if the British power grid crashed completely. It was pretty scary.

There is a lot of discussion about power grid crashing in the U S also. Recently, a group in San Francisco (?) shot out some power transformers causing blackouts. So far, they haven't been caught.
