We're suppose to get 37 degrees tomorrow morning here in the S. Flawduh. I'm sure that's laughably warm to the Great Lakes area and to our ole friend up in Wyoming but  they're calling it a new record for this time of year.

And then there's the snowbirds that come down here from New York. Are they nuts? They're going to get tortured in some Airport for four hours so they can fly down here for 37 degrees?

Friday we will get 14 F with very heavy northern wind ( - 10 Celsius ) during the day
For a country close to the warm North Sea this is once ever 10 years or so
They advised people to stay home if they did not NEED to be outside

Today a firebrigade in a tourist town saved 4 swans from freezing into the water
It took them 2 hours to catch the swans . The swans ran over the ice which the divers were loath to do

We get all that cold from Old Dan, Templar, Nighthawk and our friends in Canada. Not wanting to hog it all we decided to send some on down south for our friends down there. Nothing like sharing! ;D

So far here in outerskirts of Sydney, we seem to have had more hotter days in Spring than we have in Summer. So far, I think the main bushfire threats have been over in Western Australia

!8 Dec. we got about 12 inches of snow in little over an hour. That's a lot for us. Every one lost power for days. They sent a lot of power company people from down in the flat land to help out but they could not use any of there trucks. You have to walk to get up and down the mountains around here. Temps have been between 2 and 25 degrease F. every since. Snow at least once a day. That may not sound like much to some of you but it's pretty hard on us old hillbilly running around here with no shoes and the flap on our overalls open. No sing of improvements in the weather forecast either.

Surely they have replaced those buttons with velcro by now? When they issue "The Don't Pee Outside" warnings does that mean it will freeze before it hits the ground? And, you could be stuck there until Spring? Just the thought helps send the cold on down South!!!

Could it be global warming is another hoax? ;)

We had a major bush fire about an hour away from us. 38 homes destroyed.
There are a few others burning too.
Had our hottest day this summer so far a few days ago, 39.9C.
Pool came in handy.

The Czar for the Department of Homeland Breathing Modulation says it's okay for you carbon based breathers to exhale for a few days.  Live it up! I hear folks in Wyoming go skinny dipping when it gets this warm. Now that's kind of climate change commitment  we need in America.

Oh yeah, we seem to be having a problem with these low energy light bulbs. We may have to crap and tax the laws of thermal dynamics.

Its been snowing for a while here now. And we already have a couple inches on the ground from several weeks ago. I kinda like the snow. But not the negative 20 windchills that are supposed to follow it tommorrow.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our friends in the west and north who have been beyond kind to us mid-westerners. Got another great 5 inches of snow today (it is still snowing) and I have really enjoyed the fun trying to keep the driveway open this evening. You see the WIND has finally arrived so it is near impossible to this FROZEN stuff they are still calling snow from blowing right back in. I had nearly forgotten how much fun it is to breath the artic air while my back takes the brunt of the pain from shoveling the same damned snow over and over and over. There is one sad spot on the horizon though as the weather man says we may see a trend towards freezing by next Tuesday of nearly 30 degrees and NOW there is a threat of nearly 40 degrees by next week end. This will be another huge opportunity to come down with a cold or flu when we come out of this deep freeze. I can't thank our neighbors enough for caring so deeply about us Hoosiers this winter and do hope somehow, someway I will get the opportunity to pay you all back! Thank you so much from all us Hoosiers! You are constantly on our minds!!! :'(

I'd like to thank them too. The whole reason why Flawduh got flanked by Wilma was because an early cold front from the west pushed her into us--thanks OldDan  ;D

Oh, and I never thanked the U.S Navy for putting one of their schools in Waukegan. The one they sent me to from Oct-Feb. Fifty states and ten million cities but no, they put a freaking school  three feet from the worlds biggest A/C chill water  tower.

And lastly and  completely unrelated to anything, I'd like to thank the  retard  who came up with the idea of  making kids crawl under wooden desks as part of  air raids drills. Your probably dead you brain dead ball-suck,  but don't worry, your kindred spirit lives on in Al Gore and his kind.

Global warming huh? I've been living in South Flawduh since 1972 with the exception of four years in Charlston SC. I don't remember ever seeing dead lizards all over place. It's as if they just dropped dead from the shock.
