New Zealand, 2 (paper) 5 (polymer) 10 (paper)
October 28, 2007, 10:33:37 AM
The two paper notes were purchased by me, at the coin store yesterday.  I was delighted to find them there, especially the $2!
The polymer note was sent to me in a trade by triggersmob. Penguins! I love penguins. :D

Do add this coin to my collection?

I'm glad you liked that note.

It was one of my favourites too, but it was worth the sacrifice. Thanks for trading.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but is the second note Sir Edmund Hillary? I remember on the Lord of the Rings extended DVD special features there was a segment on Sir Edmund visiting the set, and he signed some notes for the cast members. His wife also commented on the newer notes being not as easy to sign then the older ones. I can only assume it's because they're polymer.

I would love to get one of those if anyone can make one available for trade or sale.

The second note is indeed Sir Edmund Hillary.  :)  This is currently one of my favourite notes, and I'm still quite happy that triggersmob sent it to me.  Unfortunately, it's the only one I have at the moment, although if I come across a second one I will happily let you know about it.

Do add this coin to my collection?
