Adam,
I am glad that you enjoy what you get.
I was confused and hesitate to answer you since it was suppose to be secret.
What grade you think that coin was? AU or UNC or lower? I just want to learn to compare using actual coin.
Samuel Tan

I don't have alot of experience with those, but it is definitely borderline on unc.

Steve can you tell if that's the O/CC variety? It does not look like it to me, although you might want to check it with a glass.  :)

Is this any better?
It looks like just "O" to me.
Maybe you could grade it for me too.

BEAUTIFUL COIN--NO RIM DAMAGE--DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT WAS CLEANED---MAYBE  VERY FINE+
BUT I AGREE WITH NIGHTHAWK --THERE LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING ABOUT ONE O"CLOCK ON THE O--MAYBE IT IS A O OVER CC--NEED A STRONGER GLASS--GOOD LUCK---ALL IN ALL A GREAT LOOKING MORGAN

I agree with the Templar. Looks like it could be the "O/CC" variety. I magnified it to 200% but still am not certain. Sorry Steve.  :(

Steve, at 400% magnification it does look very much like another mintmark underneath the "O". Surprise! What do you think?  :)

I think I'm surprised, and glad I sent a really interesting coin?  I have to admit, I picked this up pretty inexpensively at a Coin Club meeting a few weeks ago.

I am glad that it finally arrived!

Do add this coin to my collection?

Ellekitty, you mean you didn't lavish lots of money on me  :(
Just kidding, it's a beautiful coin and I thank you very much.

I have had a close look with my magnifier and all I can see, is what appears to be a small cud next to the "O".
No sign of any "CC".

I'll second that Humpy, many thanks Nancy.

I think we only have Yass and Nohope587 left to confirm delivery, then we will have 100% delivery.

Absolutely correct!  I'll wait another day or two to see if Yass has received his gift, and Nohope587 will let us know in due course.  ;D

Thanks to everyone for participating.  I was surprised there were only 14 people that entered...  :o

Maybe we could do another one for the end of year and have a longer run up time?    ::)

I think a new years/secret santa giveaway would be a great idea.

Nohope587's has been sent and probably would have arrived by now. No point in keeping it secret as my name is on the package.

Mine hasn't arrived yet, but I'm sure it will.  I never get to the Post Office and have to rely on my wife. She has a habit of leaving mail in the car when she gets home, and if I don't ask, she don't tell :D

All gifts except nohope587's have now been received. As he is away from home for a while and I am 100% confident that he will confirm delivery when he returns home next month.

Thanks to all participants
