I don't know what kind of hook it is. I guess it's for large mouth bass or snook. Those seem to be the favorite fish here.

I found the "lure" in the road already folded over.  It's a tin-cap that they use to hold down tar paper on roofs. Since I was on my way to Kmart anyway I though it would be amusing to see if could "trailer park" it into a fishing lure so I bought some hooks. I think it said they were 1/0 hooks whatever that is.   I hit it in few places with sandpaper to make it flash some more. The hook is held to the "lure" with (hehhehehe)  two staples. I want to make sure it's strong in case I get a snook.

I'm wagering OldDan will throw up when he see's it.   ;D

I guess you should classify it as Art Nouveau and try to sell it to a museum in that case  :D

yesterday at the rich dentist's who supports local artists I saw a collage consisting of 3 rows of 20 Marilyn Monroes ; half head up and half feet up
in the middle there was a zigzag band of colored dots .

Maybe one of those  London auction houses can sell to a Andy Warhol fan.

"Notice how brilliantly  Longnine has applied the trailer park  technology to this exquisite piece of seafaring  art...."

Try selling it on e-bay, just for fun. Remember what happened with the red paperclip.

I'm boycotting ebay and their paypal only policy.

I didn't hear about the red paper clip. I think the best ebay story I heard (so far) was the guy who sold his imaginary friend on ebay. The seller was even kind enough to include a list of the things his imaginary friend liked and disliked.

On ebay germany a year and a half ago somebody put up a house for sale without limit and somebody bought it for 10 000 euro which is like 10% of the real value . The last  I heard was that both parties took a lawyer and were going to court . The lawyers will win ( on both sides )

Longnine009, I buy from eBay ONLY using money orders. If I see something I like, I ask the seller if a M O was acceptable. Approx 95% of the time the seller says 'Yes'. I've made over 350 purchases using them with no problems. (I don't use checks on anything except at tax time.)

Thanks Goose. I'll try it and see what happens.  Doing an endrun on ebay would be a lot of fun.  ;D

WOW!   WOW!    WOW!    WOW!

This paper clip is from the estate of the late  Napoleon Bonesandparts. I can't say for certain that he was related to Napoleon Bonaparte but I feel a very strong mystic cord of memory connection with this paper clip and Napoleon Bonaparte.  WOW!

You'll notice it has a bee scheme to it  WOW!  And you might recall that Napoleon Bonaparte's family crest was the beehive. WOW!  I'm not an expert on 19th century op-order clasping but could this be the very paper clip that he clasped together his op-order for Waterloo?  WOW!  TOTALLY RIGHTOUS!
