Took A Little Drive
April 19, 2009, 04:17:14 PM
The wife and I took a little drive, starting last Monday.

We went from our home in Delta, Colorado, through the Four Corners; to The Grand Canyon; to Laughlin, Nevada where we took the Colorado River cruise; on to The Salton Sea in southern California; then to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead; then to Mesquite, Nevada; to Green River, Utah, and then home.

Purpose of the trip was to see some places we had never been to before.

Good to be home.

Sounds a good enough reason to me.

Glad you both had a great day.

What a wonderful trip. Where are the pics, Gary??

I saw a program about the building of the Hoover dam, apparently the concrete in the middle is still drying.

I read that the dam contains enough concrete to pave a road from the dam to New York and back.  Seems impossible, but it sure is a big structure.

We still need to see the Niagra Falls and the Columbia River, and then we will have seen most of the U.S.'s real significant natural wonders.
