I've been at the Castle for a year!
October 29, 2008, 01:58:32 PM
So, I just realized that yesterday was the one year anniversary of me joining the Knights. Its kind of funny how I came to find out about this place. I was on a little forum called Coinlover's Forum, which I don't think is active anymore. And a certain New Zealander who I will just call Aiden, was raving about how terrible of a place this is, and how it was so hard to get in here and he wasn't accepted.  :D
Well, I decided to check it out, and I am SO glad I did. In this past year I have made alot of friends. I have traded coins, bought coins, sold coins, been given coins and, perhaps most fullfillingly, been able to give a few coins away. I truly consider all of you here great friends. In this Castle we all share a love of coins and paper money too. But the Castle is so much more that that. We help each other out, give to each other and comfort each other through tough times. This past year of being a part of KOTCT has really been a greater experience than I ever imagined I could enjoy over the internet with people from all over the world.
So, thank you Knights Of The Coin Table and all of our members.
And with that, I raise a toast to the KOTCT!!!

Congratulations on your anniversary. Isn't 1st year anniversary paper? I think you need to treat yourself to a nice note. And I echo your sentiments about the Castle and the people here, such a great place and all wonderful people.

Adam,

You are truly an outstanding member, and it's wonderful to have you as a resident of the Castle.

The New Zealander you wrote about has many issues -- with many sites.

I can't think of a single member who I wish was not a part of our group.  Makes being a moderator so simple.

Thanks for being a great Knight.

I, and many others, think so highly of you.

 :) :) :) :)

And to think, I'd given up on finding anything good that came from Aiden.  ;D  I didn't know he indirectly sent you our way!

I am so very glad you came to check us out, Adam.  You are such an active, vital part of our Knights now that it is impossible to imagine the Castle without you.  Congratulations on your Anniversary!

Do add this coin to my collection?

While I'm new here, I already recognize and appreciate everyone at KOTCT for their good-natured warmth.  :D  There's nothing cliquish about the group here; people are helpful, respectful and down-to-earth. It strikes me that everyone here regards each other as collectors of equal standing, vs. a "forum of experts" and their plebe followers--some forums are insufferably boring for that reason alone, lol--but not so here;D

Congrats Adam on your 1 year here--I look forward to having such an anniversary.
