The amazing hurrican Ike.
September 08, 2008, 02:46:06 AM
I've been tracking Ike since it was a disturbance. The hurricane center's so called models have projected this thing to do just about everything except a trampoline somersault back to Angola.

Now I look at their 8:00 AM update.  Unless I'm looking  at this wrong, it sure looks to me like it's heading dead center to Galveston.  Of course it could change and it will be most interesting to see where it really lands.

I do  hope this is just mullets in gub-mint screwing everything up.  I really would hate to think that there was a  corrupt official *or agency* somewhere  who wanted to load up on gasoline contracts or calls on gasoline contracts before it  became too  obvious.

But if there is corruption I'm sure it will all come out in the SEC investigation.

Heehehheeheeheheheheh   "The what?"

Sounds interesting but can I ask what the meaning of the expression "like mullets in gubmint"  is?

Gub-mint is slang for government. A mullet is slang for a fool or a screw up or  bureaucrats in government which I prefer to call "blundercrats." This whole thing with Ike is "your tax dollars at work." The Hurricane center's 5 day forecast track for Ike has gone from Vero Beach Florida to East Texas as of this morning. It went from West Texas to East Texas in just 24 hours. At this rate they should have it crossing into the Pacific tomorrow morning and heading to Japan. Maybe the federal government should just focus on sending welfare checks to billionaires on wallstreet. They seem to be pretty good at that.   >:(

Gub-mint has forecast Ike to make left turns, right turns, U-turns, back ups, somersaults, spinning back kicks to the groin, and to go through walls, stop signs, curbs, and buildings.

I think they're recycling Oswald and the "One bullet theory."

Is that all we get for 8 trillion bucks, a recycled fairy tale from 1964?    ;D

It isn't only the government officials that are confused.  Just about everyone in the Meteorology department is confuzzled at Ike.  He's a drunkard; no clear path, no clear defining systems in his wake that could direct his path.

The government isn't responsible for the weather, even predicting it.  All they can do is guess. *shrugs*

They  can give some guy down at the labor pool a six  pack  of Yeast & Stuff to make a guess. In fact I suspect he'll do better then they with all their fancy gadgets and airplanes.   ;D
