December 31, 2012, 07:24:54 AM
Christmas evening the family came over to help my wife harvest this years citrus crop.  Everyone went home with a bag of goodies but there was still a tonne left over so Canning time With Orange and Grapefruit marmalade.
The family mutt has spent the last few days outside as apparently Dogs don't like the smell of Citrus.
Working hard while I am bobbin around offshore Mexico.

I used to make my own Orange & Grapefruit Marmalade, but the last time was about 35 years ago. I helped my Mum make it many times when I was growing up.  My all time favourite jam is home made Rosella!! Yum!!!!!!!

My neighbor used to mix whiskey with his pork, but every time he did them darn hogs would get out and make an awful mess.  ;D  ;D

Nancy just what is Rosella? We make jam and jelly out of just about every thing here in the hills but I've never heard of this one.

NEVOL IS ROSELLA ANYTHING LIKE RHUBARB?----IT GROWS EVERYWHERE AND LOOKS LIKE CELERY WITH LARGE LEAVES---THE ODDITY IS THAT THE LEAVES ARE POISONOUS---WHILE THE STALKS ARE EATEN OR COOKED DOWN USUALLY WITH STRAWBERRY-----RHUBARB MAKES GREAT JELLY---PIE FILLINGS AND TOPPINGS BUT ONCE PLANTED YOU WILL DIE BEFORE IT DOES...............

If you can find any where that seeds or seedlings are available, this is what to do with them.
