2009 Silver ASE Proof

I probably just overlooked this coin on the U.S. Mint site.

I need a 2009 Silver ASE Proof 1 ounce coin to give to a friend for his birthday.

I'd like to know when the coin will be available, and what the cost will be.

Can anyone help?

I was just about to look back in coin world and check that article. Does it say when the proofs will be available though? I seem to remember that that article said the proofs would be on sale too. I'm sure they're more than $25.95 though.

I subscribe to Coin World, but have the on-line edition.  I don't think I can go back and look through earlier editions.

American Eagle Silver Proof Coins

Production of United States Mint American Eagle Silver Proof and Uncirculated Coins has been temporarily suspended because of unprecedented demand for American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins. Currently, all available silver bullion blanks are being allocated to the American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin Program, as the United States Mint is required by Public Law 99-61 to produce these coins “in quantities sufficient to meet public demand . . . .”

The United States Mint will resume the American Eagle Silver Proof and Uncirculated Coin Programs once sufficient inventories of silver bullion blanks can be acquired to meet market demand for all three American Eagle Silver Coin products.

In other words they have no idea when or if there will be a Proof eagle.

I am needing them also for my collection
