Without getting into the pros and cons of each side of the 1909 Zerbe / Elder ANA elections debate, this fracas did seem to stimulate quite a few satirical medals and tokens back in the day.
Daniel Carr has created a few tribute pieces using the original dies of at least one of the Elder tokens.
This past year, Daniel Carr and Doug Ward have created their own original design protesting the removal of Farran Zerbe's name from the ANA'S highest award. Without getting into the particulars, here is the eye candy . . . .
There are two different designs minted in both silver and copper. All share the RIP Zerbe obverse, with two different reverses - four different medal in total.
Enjoy.

I was lucky enough to meet Doug last march 18 2024 at Jeff Shevlin’s Fellowship Gathering,( held at Moonlight Mint), and Doug had a few sets with him, and I got both kind of sets from him there.
The silver ones are pretty rare…… only 19 minted of each kind.
He had gold sets, but I didn’t have enough money ‼ï¸😱😱
He still had some sets left.
He said he was going to put them on eBay, but I haven’t checked to see if he did.
Thanks
