We weren't in the path but on TV it looked cool.

I drove from Pennsylvania to Isle of Palms South Carolina to see it. At first it was cloudy but about 15 minutes before totality the sky cleared. It was completely AMAZING! Looking at a black dot in the sky for two minutes. Seeing the sun reappear after was also Amazing. Definitely going to see the next one in 2024.

Couldn't see a damn thing from down here. :) But you've seen one eclipse, you've seen them all. :)

They said we had about 97% here.  8) I was out picking corn when it came though, kind of neat but like you say once you have seen one they are all pretty much the same.  :)

It was breathtaking! Just beautiful!  We were right in the path of totality here in Salem, Oregon! We had nearly 2 minutes of full darkness. We actually stayed at a friends house over the last week and rented our house out for a few nights! Our friends have 20 acres and we were able to sit out on their front lawn and witness this spectacle. It was interesting to see the farm animals reactions.  The chickens went back inside their coop and the horse was ready to go back to it's stall.  Really cool!

Yes, truly breathtaking! I was right alone the Atlantic coast. Several minutes before the total eclipse the wind pick up coming in off the ocean. As soon as the total eclipse was over the wind died down. I believe the total eclipse in 2024 is going to have over 4 minutes of totality and lucky for me it will pass through western Pennsylvania.
