Yes, I'm sure that is the problem in many cases. :)

After 8 hours of work I am close to having done the impossible since internet nowhere mentions it been done before

I cloned a win7 machine with Acronis true image
I took an apache MSI win10 and put the clone on it
I changed the Bios and I found all drivers
and now I am going to replade the hdd with an ssd 1tb MX200

Where I am going I ain't certain
Where I am going I don't know
All I know is that I'am on my way

Just got a new laptop with Windows 10. Not overly impressed. Still run 7 on my desk computer. One thing I found really quickly. Windows 10 does not let you have an administrative side and quest side on your computer. Other people in my family sometimes use my computer and I don't like it that they can change things with me knowing it.
Also the Microsoft Edge they try and get you to run is a big waste. I like Internet Explorer, but my son says I should really get Chrome.
Change is harder when you hit the 60"s I think. :o

I heard of horror stories were somebody went to lunch and came back and his computer was taken over
by win10
I blocked win10 in several ways
In my firewall no more effing bill allowed
No more updates allowed
Killed the pop up in the register
Deleted all downloads that prepared his ugly campain

Windows 10 does allow you to have accounts without admin rights if you are using local accounts.

I would not suggest that you use a Microsoft account for login.

All machines at home that can take Windows 10 have been upgraded.  My son-in-law is upgrading at machines are work in our UK office to Windows and we have his US colleague upgrading all of the machines in our Chicago office.

I am looking forward to the summer release of the Redstone update to Windows, also know as the Windows 10 'Anniversary Update.'  I have been running pre-release versions of this on my work laptop.

Only time that I use Internet Explorer is at work is for SharePoint.

So what other bad things have you heard about Windows 10 because Edge not being a good browser.

I've only had the laptop a couple of weeks. Don't like the Edge, and have not been able to run admin, other that that things seem pretty good. Good to know we have someone who knows there way around these new computer's though. Between you and PTW we should be good for tec support. 8) 8) 8) 8)

I have heard win10 is just a facelift for the failure of win8.1

Also win10 phones mother and tells her whatever you have looked at on the internet or surfed to or bought etc
If you look long and heard you can shut this down

Also win10 has a lot of obnoxious adds and unwanted programs

Some people here are offering a completely sterilized version of win10 , notably Beta testers have a lot better
then win10 selfmade of course
