Pics from our cruise from New Zealand
February 27, 2015, 04:46:54 PM
1. Diamond Princess arriving in Auckland. Pic taken from our hotel room.
2. Our Mini-Suite stateroom.
3. First stop was Tauranga, where we visited the hot springs and mud pools at Rotarua.
4. Then it was lunch on a paddle boat on Lake Rotarua
5 & 6. Next stop was Akaroa, where we visited the New Zealand Alps. We went to Arthur's Pass and then
took a train ride through the Alps.
7 & 8. Third stop was Port Chalmers, where we boarded another train and took a ride through the valleys and hills around Dunedin.

9 & 10. The next day we sailed through the Fiordlands of New Zealands west coast. Absolutely stunning scenery.
11. The next 2 days were at sea. This is a pic of just a sample of the delicious food we had available (I put on 4.8Kg).
12. Arriving at Hobart, Tasmania.
13, 14 & 15. We did a day trip to Port Aurthur. This was a convict settlement and the site of a gun massacre back in 1996, which led
to the gun recall and tightening of Australia'a gun laws. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too good for us.

16. Our second last stop was Melbourne. This is a view of Melbourne and our ship from the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower.
17. The Shrine of remembrance.

Next day we arrived at Sydney. Our final stop then it was a 5 hour flight home. Ship arrived at 6am and plane left at 5.30pm, so it was a long day. Glad to be home.

This is a very brief view of our holiday, I took 270 pics and the Wife took a heap too.

Glad you are back safe and that you enjoyed your holiday.

I hoped Customs might have given you a full body search...including internal.  Looks like my warning did not arrive to them in time... ;D

Steve, did you go to any coin stores?

Cy, we had planned shore tours at each stop, so we had no time to look for coin stores unfortunately.

It looks like you had an awesome trip Steve.  I think I see a hobbit in the picture of the Fiordlands of New Zealands west coast.  The coastline looks amazing.

Not sure about the Hobbit, but if you enlarge the pic of the waterfall, you will see a boat at the base of the waterfall and another boat to the left of the waterfall.
