My Zombucks Collection
December 09, 2014, 04:02:30 AM
I tried to post this in a different thread, but you folks couldn't see the pictures.  I'll try again here.  Mods, if this is not the proper place for this topic, feel free to relocate it!

Zombucks: Proof and BU in Silver and Copper of each design displayed with a first year issue of the coin the Zombuck design was based on. This album has the first five designs.  I have since filled the missing spots for the proof Murk Diems.  I have a second album for the next five started, but there has only been one design released so far.

Still cannot see your photos.
My screen says you have deleted them from photo bucket.

Must be some setting in photo bucket causing this problem.

On other thread can see other knights photos

I can't see them either. :(
You're not moving them to a new album or something, after you have shown them, are you?
This would change the file name and break the link.

Ok, try it now guys!  I placed the images in a different "bucket" in photobucket and deleted the old links and added new ones using the "img" code in Photobucket instead of the "direct" code.  I have posted many images using photobucket on CCF and have not experienced any problems.  Please let me know if you still can't see them.

Thanks,

Matt

I can see them now. That is a pretty cool way to display the series. I like the way you put the original coin in the middle.

Zombucks are a novelty bullion round produced in Silver and Copper by Provident Metals, Inc. in the USA.  The series, once completed, will consist of 10 designs, based on actual US coins, that have been Zombified.  I like them a lot, some people don't.  Here is a link to their website.  http://www.providentmetals.com/bullion/bullion-by-series/zombucks-currency-of-the-apocalypse.html

Very interesting and very different.   Look out the FBI does not confiscate them and arrest makers for counterfeiting...... ;D

My budget would only allow me copper BU but still nice.

When they arrive I will have Morgue Anne, Walker and Zombuff but also picked up SBSS Free Reign which shows the skeletal bust of Queens Elizabeth II.

Will get more when I can to add.

Can you supply me with a list of the released Zombucks todate.

Barry, you have the first three zombucks released so far.  There are six that were already released, and four more to go.  The first six are Walker, Morgue Anne, Zombuff, Murk Diem, The Barber, and Feast.  There are four more that are going to come out, one every three months. The next one in the series comes out in January.

The Free Reign is a mule from the Silver Bullet Silver Shield series, which had a lot of different releases.  There was a big dispute and a lot of lawsuites between the creator of that series Chris Duane and the head of a now bankrupt Mulligan Mint.  There were also a lot of people who paid for silver that they never recieved. If you search mulligan mint and its past owner Rob Grey, there is quite an interesting story behind the series. The origanal creator Chris changed the name of the series to Silver Shield at the beginning of 2014, and Rob Grey has been putting out a lot of different unofficial new SBSS releases.  Chris just got ebay to pull most of the unofficial 2014 rounds by Rob Grey because of trademark violations.

Hi Barry,

That is great!  SirStacksAlot's list is correct.  I am relatively new to the coin collecting scene, so the info regarding Mulligan Mint is interesting; I'll have to research that more, thanks for posting it SirStacksAlot!

I have some extra copper rounds of some of the later designs (Barber, Murk Diem, and Feast) if you ever want to work a trade out to get your collection up to date.

Take care,

Matt

Thanks Matt....picked up Murk Diem and Feast on eBay early this morning.  The only one I am missing is Barber.

Happy to set up a trade but postage between the States and Oz may kill the deal.    Again can get one on eBay for A$5.50

OK have found where I can buy them but they do not post to Australia. (Wasatch Coin located in Clearfield, Utah.)

Can I have them sent to some knight who can forward onto me in Australia by cheapest post?

Barry, I will be ordering some of the new ones this month, let me know what you need and I will add them to my order. I will buy the older ones for you also. Just let me know which ones you need. I think I have ordered from wasatch coins on ebay a while ago.
