Dear Sir Templar:
Yes! Portuguese brought a lot to India. St. Francis Xaveir's body is kept in Goa, one of Portuguse Colony in India. His body is shown to the public once in 12 years. I saw him during 1964 or so
St.THOMAS, one the deceiples of Our Lord Jesus Christ (doubting Thomas, who put his finger on Our Lord Jesus Christ's chest) came to India during the 1st Century A.D., He came to Kerala State, a near by state to us. Our State is Tamil Nadu (earlier it was called Madras State)
St. Thomas was teaching to
Tamils in 1st AD about our Lord Jesus. He lived in caves of Chennai (our state capital, earlier called as Madras City) The caves are still there in Chennai. He was CRUCIFIED in a small mountain in Chennai city. It is named after him and called St. Thomas Mount. The biggest road in Chennai city was called as Mount Road. Then they changed the name.
St. Thomas lived all his years in our Chennai area, telling about our Lord. So, Christians were living in 1st Century AD with St. Thomas. He only brought Catholocisim
in Tamil Nadu, India. Our near by state Kerala is also full of Christians. You can see lot of Kennedys in Tamil Nadu and Kerala State.
St. Thomas body is kept on St. Thomas Basilica on the shores of Marina beach
(SECOND LONGEST BEACH, next to your Miami Beach, FL)
I lived on the banks of Marina Beach, for 2 years. I used to walk to St. Thomas Basilica , in the evenings and on Sundays often. So we Catholics live in Tamil Nadu
from 1st Century AD taught by St. Thomas.
