November 09, 2013, 08:38:52 AM
Here is a sampling of some of the cool stuff I found today at a local coin show. Small show but lots of things to look at:  This decent 1829 Great Britain Farthing, VF+, KM# 697  :)

This interesting piece is dated 1786 with a bust of George III. The reverse of this piece I did not scan because it is completely worn away. This coin (or token maybe?) is copper and measures 33mm in diameter. I do not believe that any 1/2 penny or penny coins were minted between 1775 & 1799. Is this correct? I found this item in a dealer "junk box" for 20 cents!! What do you think I have? Any help would be appreciated.  :)

Here is a nice item I found for $1 at another dealer table. But what is it? I asked the dealer and he did not know. A "Concept Dollar?" Could this be a pattern for the small size dollar coin that came out in 2000? Any ideas folks?  :)

A 22mm medal from Israel is the next item I found. The reverse is quite interesting because it shows an ancient Jewish coin. Nice little medal for $2.  :)

Update to Reply# 5: http://www.smalldollars.com/dollar/page17.html :) I guess I don't have anything too rare, although there was only 2500 pieces of these minted!  :)

Nice selection of items you picked up.
I can't help with any info on the George III coin/medal, sorry.
