Great eBay Purchase = Moral Dilemma

Just got these beautiful Medals on eBay.
The seller listed them as Pewter. I had a hunch that they were Silver.
I ended up being right. They are indeed .999 Silver. Marked on their edge.
I only paid $76 for the set. That's a $300 discount off the silver value.
Here lies the dilemma. Should I let the seller know and offer the $300 or
consider it Good Luck on my end and walk away with a clear conscience?
Keep in mind that the seller is a coin delaler. Some of his auctions sell for thousands of dollars.

I would walk away smiling with a little luck for a change. While I understand your feelings on this matter it would be best to let a sleeping dog lie!

He has probably cheated many a widow walking in selling way below melt and many an heir at estate sales

If he became too lazy or too fat to judge his own medals let him be
He probably bought them for half what you paid

On the other hand if he is a real professional the medals may be clad fakes

So whichever way I would take what you got cause these good things only happen every few years

You are correct. How is it you know a lot about these medals?  
These are by far my most favorite medals. I dont only like these because of their detail and extreme high relief but I have also been to each of the places depicted on each of these medals. I only wish that they made more then just 12 of these.

I'm thinking the seller bought them as pewter, so sold them as pewter.

I would keep it and not feel too bad about it..I once bought Louisiana Purchase So-Called Dollar,that was listed as bronze...When I finally got it,I could see it was just very badly tarnished silver..You win some and you lose some!!
