Ah yes, December.....I know it well. Shorter sunlight 'til Dec 21st, whereas we (central Minn.) begin to get 'longer days' on Dec 27th. This year's winter soltice begins @ 5:12 am (central time) and is the earliest in 116 yrs. (That's since 1896 for those who are mathematically challenged....you're welcome.) Now Dec 13th will be a good night for viewing the Geminid meteor showers, beginning around 7 pm C T. Then we should all be thankfull for the great creation of Roentgenium (Element 111) just 16 yrs ago on Dec 8th. It's about time! Also, I think this month celebrates some sort of 'holiday', where people go out and spend enormous amounts of money buying items for others that they really have no use for the items. This is also the month when some people will select a can to kick down the road again.
