23 miles sure is a long way up, but if the equipment doesn't work anything above 25 or 30 feet would kill you anyways.

The balloon is suppose to take off tomorrow
morning at 7am mountain time from New Mexico.
I guess it might take awhile to ascend 23 miles.

If he makes it maybe we could contact him and make him an honorary Knight , and if he don't make it I reckon it won't much matter . Wonder what time he will be coming down? Will try to be inside just in case.

I assume they did some kind of computer simulation
that said he could survive it. I just don't understand
how? Planes approaching the sound barrier buffet
 and have broken apart in the days before they
 had enough power to break though. He won't
 even have a airplane around him.

Yes the darn wind put a halt to yesterdays jump! I would think the sound barrier would tear him apart? Guess we will find out but can't help but wonder if he will make a farting sound when he passes the speed of sound? And will we hear it or smell it?
