Actually,If They knew for sure that the headless body was Ned Kellys,they could then take a DNA sample from the body and match it to the head!!!

However,if their not sure that its his body,then,taking Dna would be pointless

I read this story yesterday. They used DNA from known relatives, to match the bones to Ned Kelly. I guess they will do the same with the head.

WHEN THE MASS GRAVE WAS FOUND--MANY OF THE BODIES WERE IDENTIFIED BY DNA INCLUDING NED KEELY  BUT HE HAD NO HEAD---SINCE THE BODY WAS FOUND THE HEAD AS BEEN RETURNED BUT THE DNA TEST HAS NNOT BEEN DONE YET  ACCORDING TO WHAT I READ
