When you are fully retired like myself the weekends become unbearable
On saturday I got to forecast where gold and miners are going the next week , I have to go to the market to buy meat for us and the dogs and sunday dinner,
I got to read all the drivel that has been written by so called analysts and I have to choose the film I want to watch in the evening

Sunday is even worse ; I got to take a bath , wash my hair; change clothes, cook
a worthy sunday dinner , drink a few brandies and scan hard copy negative film to computer files ; decide the film to view and what brand of whiskey to drink

Oh the unbearable lightness of existence

Where I am going I ain't certain
Where I am going I don't know
All I know is that I'am on my way

So it looks like you have a hard weekend upcoming, eh P Y W? I should be so lucky. I have to get up at 4 am Saturday morning and leave by 4:30 pm to visit a son in Montana, driving 1660 Km (1035 miles). I'll try to break my old record of covering that ground in less than 13 hrs - 58 minutes....averaging 118.56 KM/hr (74.1 MPH). While there, I have to fire a few handguns (to stay in practice) and metal detect 'Granite', a ghost town in S W Montana. The only way up to this place is a 7 km (4.5 miles) crawl up a mountain side using a 4x4. And I don't use an automatic tranny, where most people put the gear shift into 'D' for drive, where it should be an 'A' for aim! I have a 6 speed (shift...manual), and it moves.....fast!

Well I will be making the 101 mile drive back  to Indiana Horse Rescue to see my new baby and work the other horses. Taking my little boy this trip and he is wound up like a new clock. Probably be bringing home a new 8 year old cowboy! Weather is still pretty miserable but I know the ladies will be there so it is imperative that I be there as well. Love them mares!!! ;)

Yes P Y W, I have a very nice detector. I also use my Sirius radio with a dual hook up to a power port (cigarette lighter) with the detector. I just cruise along, listening to semi-classical music most of the time.

At the end of the 50's I was only 13 so for me it is the 60's songs
But the stations broadcasting those are dying out over here in Belgium ( FM radio )
So I got a few thousand on my computer

My new F-150 has the Sirius radio with all the fancy speakers and every thing and the FM. You can even talk to it and it will find your station for you. The wife loves it. But I got to tell you I like the old AM. I just wish we still had the tuning knob where you had to always play with it to get a station.   ;D

I have an old american phase linear system and the receiver has a huge alu knob to select the station and a needle indicator from 1 to 10 gives you signal strenght and a red led stereo  :)

I will try and post a photo of the little guy becoming a cowboy! He managed to ride three different times after I took him out and showed him the ropes, so to speak, and he loved it. Of course it helped having a horse that knew a little one was on her back and she responded like a queen. He built his confidence and made friends with every horse and pony there. Now I need another horse and it appears he will be getting a U.S. Government mustang from out west. It is kid broke and will even pull a wagon if needed. Not many youngin's can say they own a real mustang but mine will be able to before long. Now if he can just ride that one!!! ;)

MISS YOU SNOOBA!!!
