For me to go "on tour" means about 2km from my current house. I have had offers to let the old house, but I will only sell it and at my price and not let it. I let a property out in California five years ago to someone I know, and they were reliable. Different circumstances and a lot of distance predicated that happening. I then sold the property - actually a ranch, at the tippy top of the California real estate bubble.
