What's Up With That?

Is anyone besides me having problems viewing someone else's profile? When I click on someones username, it says "Many apologies, but you can't view just any profile".  The only profile it lets me see is my own!!!  What's up with that?

Got the same thing when I just tried to view yours. You must be some one special otherwise commoners like myself would be able to see you. I am not worthy.....

I must be special, I clicked on both of you and your profiles came up for me.  Maybe TKO is messing with the control panel again?

I can't answer your question but do know both of us have been working today to add a PayPal button for the Medallion Quest. TKO is spending more time in the administration section and I am currently working with PayPal. Perhaps you were trying while we were playing with bells and whistles? One thing is for certain I/We are not there yet!
I can help you out with ElleKitty's profile. She is a very attractive woman from Texas who loves all cats and collects coins. (I might add all of our Knightesses are very attractive for many reasons.) What more do you need to know?

No, it's got to be something in the settings.  Both Paint your Wagon and I are listed as "Master Collectors", whatever that group means.  Everyone else is a Knight Argent?  TKO probably poked a wrong key yesterday, altering permissions to view profiles.

We just  need an admin to check the user group permissions, is all

Whoa!  Calm down buckaroo.  There's bunches of different user groups- based on things as trivial as post counts.  The settings can be real finicky, so just wait til TKO can check to see what really happened.  No need to get "upset."   Yeah, I caught the pre-edit version.

Its still a kitty!  In fact, this 1/12 Real from Paraguay is the first coin minted in that country.  Tis a lion with a liberty cap on a staff, and I think it's a beautiful coin.  Give it some time, I'll put another Kitty up there soon

All you have to do is go to Members, look up the Knight or Knightess you wish to email and then click on that BIG blue button that says EMAIL MEMBER!!! As for the rest of this mess, well I don't have a clue but I am pretty sure it is part of a government conspiracy to cause chaos, panic and disorder just as Old Dan claims!

i would still like to know why i can't look at any profiles ....

  three days and no explanation--it was humorus at first but now its beginning to wear thin..........does anyone have a reason that makes sense??

I like looking at profiles to see where a person is from, birthdate, male/female, etc., if they have listed that information or not. Without being able to see that info, which is never available to the public anyway, but only to castle members, it is just a guessing game as to whom you are dealing with. And with only the moderators being able to see that information, to me, kinda puts them up above everybody else in the castle, where I think everyone should be on the same level.

Hmm .... thanks Twoshadows ........ you know I'm not thinking clearly lately. I had always gone via the person's profile and sent message via PM.

The Profile also came in handy when we have a 'Secret ... whatever' gift exchange, as I've gone to person's profile to check on some of their posts to try to chose an appropriate gift to send.

Guys, this is no big deal.  Until TKO tells us something, lets just all remain calm and presume that this is just a mistake.  No sense getting worried or upset especially if there is no reason to do so. 

Had something major happened to the site, you all know TKO would have posted about it.  He always has, and always will.  Each Knight and Lady Knight has equal standing.  This is probably all just a case of one mispressed button.
