Help Identifying the error #4
November 25, 2008, 12:26:44 AM
Some letters appears to be missing. The letters "I & C" are missing in the word Monticello, although the surrounding letters show minimal wear so;

Is this an error? a weak stuck may be IMO
What is the error name?
Does this increase the coin value?

Thanks for your help  :)

You do have fun looking for things like this, don't you?

 :) I am realy enjoying this, the last few months i have been purchasing, trading and receiving US coins from all over the world. Its a new world for me. I have received my first red book (2008) in addition to my Krause books (1800-1900 and 1900 to present).
I am trying to know as much as i can about my new interest, and i have started many US sets that i hope i can complete someday  :)

I cant tell you how much fun and joy i have during searching my new coins. Finding some errors IMO "even if they all turned to be either not an error or a common one of no significant effect on the value"

It even made me start to search Egyptian coins for errors  :)

When you get there, just click on 'errors' and then sit back and learn.

This site is very informative, thanks for the link OldDan, but the error link shows no pics or info for me. I dont know if its my computer or the site has a temp. error. I'll try the link some other time and see.  :)

Thanks again OldDan  :)
