Yes Nighthawks is a London obverse. The upstroke of the N points at the bead.
And I think, though it is hard tell be 100% sure with the pic, that it is a London reverse, making it a type 1A.
If you have a look at the letters ALIA in Australia, and draw a vertical line through the centre, the line should line up with a denticle for AL and be between denticles for IA. Though upon reflection, I think all the 1924s have London reverses.
If I may be so bold as to point out, the 1924 I have in the trade section is a type 2A
