Well they closed down Colonial today in yet another "nothing to see here" weekend episode. That's make 77 "green shoots"  this year for the transvestite recovery.

Rocky Horror Picture Show

I was in London in a socalled interactive Rocky Horror Picture Show theater with my wife . It was fantastic
I also have the film on video and watched it like two dozen times .
There is this reference of Janet to the Day of the Triffids I like as well

Ah yes, now those were the days! Go to Rocky Horror at Midnight for $2 and throw popcorn and rice all over the place and shoot water pistols. Do you remember the criminologist that the audience would  called no #@^!*&$  neck?  I believe that was  "Villy" in the Blue Max.

They need all that free time so they can go protest about how the government is screwing them rotten.  Really, I have seen so many flipping protests when I have been in Paris.

The French and the English are masters of strike and protest ( to no avail )
The last time I was in Paris the Eurostar train could not leave because the station was full of protestors whilst I was drinking a very unfrench double whiskey on an expense account  ;D
However the current French president is the only one in Europe trying to keep immigrants out of the country .
Their possession of Algeria as a Colony is costing them dearly . Even if the foreign legion generated a lot of Légion d'honneur ribbons .

But we didn't go to Iraq looking for WMD's. We went there to bring the Iraqi people freedom in cage. I'm sure the blow-rigs on the right would confirm that for me. But they're  too busy right now fighting the blow-rigs on the left who are trying to give us health care "reform." Which has to be good for us and good for America. After all the pharmaceutical companies have 3,300 lobbyists behind this---  trying to "save us."  ::)

What would Nathan Rothchild  do at the darkest moment?

They can say whatever they want about metals but they are still portable. People will come to see that as a good thing when the  ghouls start combing the lands in search of "resources." What else are the ghouls going to do?  Watering the weeds isn't  going to fix anything.

Unother thing that is portable but no longer thrustworthy is diamonds
A lot of prisoners saved their life in WWII with diamonds but now with
those second generation artificials way beyond zircon you can never be sure
you got a diamond or agregated carbon  ::)

The bull has already run longer than the Great Depression sucker rally. So maybe time is up. But it has not come close to re-tracing 50% of it's  loss as it did in the Great Depression. So maybe it'll run more.

Some of the staunchest gold bugs--Libertarian writers-- seem worried that when it does go it'll scare people so badly they'll run to dollars and trasheries. And metals  will be depressed for awhile. That will be fine with me. "Buy when the blood is flowing in the streets."---Nathan Rothchild.

China is also a problem for inflating our  problems away. These clowns in D.C act like there's no such thing as an Internet or Libertarians. The Chinese only have to read Libertarian  blogs and news letters to see the big bamboozle on the horizon.  Apparently they already have been reading them.

B.O screwed himself by continuing  DuhYa's  TARPit. He should have opened the window on the 100th Floor and told them the  pigeons on the pavement have to eat too. Now every bum  in  America wants something for nothing and the wallstreet weeds are still there  disguised as "green shoots" like the color adaptive lizards that they are and sucking up everyone else's  water.  I'd feel sorry for B.O except he's an "Internet guy."  He should have read the Libertarians before taking the oath, which, btw,  he also screwed up. WELCOME BACK CARTER.

But that brings us back to metals. It brings us to "Recovery" We Hardly Knew Ye. A world with no jobs and no hand outs  is a world of social upheaval  black market economies, and (write this down Hillary)---BOOTLEG CIGARETTES!

I did a Google search one time for satire medals or tokens on Paulson. I was hoping to find stuff  in the same satire spirit of the old Hard Times Tokens.  You know what I found? A blog of someone who wanted to give Paulson the Medal of Honor for saving the country. This is the mentality of the country we live in! We are so  #$*&^%$  screwed.

Ben's butt gerbil must have squiggled into the daylight and  seen his shadow. The economic spring is around the corner!!!!!

************************************************************
By SARA LEPRO, AP Business Writer Sara Lepro, Ap Business Writer – Fri Aug 21, 6:21 pm ET

"NEW YORK – Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said what investors wanted to hear, that the economy is indeed on the verge of recovery, and they responded with a rally that sent the major indexes to new highs for the year."
********************************************************

Unfortunately there always has to be a spoiler somewhere. Bill Bonner--BUBBLE KILLER!

*********************************************************
"Yesterday’s news tells us that despite press reports of a recovery, the key indicators of real economic growth are still falling. Almost one out of ten mortgages are now delinquent. And the rate of foreclosures is increasing faster than any time in the last 30 years. Housing prices, meanwhile, fell 16% in the 2nd quarter, from a year earlier, according to the National Association of Realtors." Daily Reckoning 8/21/0
********************************************************

Oh well Ben. Cake up  some more lipstick to your transvestite. Maybe no *ELSE*  one will notice.

It has an hidden associative meaning which I do not know . Just like the other day in a film somebody said I want to hotbox with you . Later they explained that to hotbox is to smoke marihuana in a car with all windows closed.

The translation is
Quote
I never take the pleasure train
( I never heard the expression pleasure train even I who am the son of a trainworker who took the train weekly ) I know of the coupon train from Luxemburg and the army train from Germany and the sea train to the coast .
Second phrase is made to rime in Flemish

I know what a pleasure boat is
It is a boat that returns to the same point from which it started taking you 30 minutes or longer on the sea or on a river
This can be up to all evening ; like the boats in Paris on the Seine that just cruse whilst you have an expensive dinner
I did that once and it was fabulous with music and all ; they are called Bateaux Mouche

Yes it could mean that he never paid for first ; second or third class but got in a boxcar without paying and liked the free ride anyway .
In view of the fact that the benches were wooden and hard and the engine coal smoke drifted in if you opened the little ventilator windows in summer ; I can believe a boxcar with hay was not that bad  :)

Anyway with 576 000 new jobless last week and only 560 000 new jobless expected this week we
are making large progress . When 200 000 000 are jobless we will have reached rock bottom .
So things are looking bright

IMO, Japan's fate  is exactly what we and Europe are going to get. Only it's sort of  a "on paper" thing.  We and the Europeans really don't have the patience or discipline that the Japanese have.

I agree with Bonner, this is a depression not a recession. And a depression can only be fixed with structural changes to the economy and social fabric.  Oddly enough that's exactly how a 4th Turning ends, for better or worse--major structural changes. Judging by the guns and ammo sales going on here, major structural changes have already been anticipated.

I believe the 4th Turning  arrived in the U.S, with the  too  krapitalist  to fail bailouts--the catalyst. If it has started, it  just gets uglier until the crisis phase. The crisis phase for the last three 4th Turnings in the U.S were  the American Revolution, the U.S Civil   War (which came early) and the U.S entering WWll.  Of course, as they say: "This time it's different."  ;D We're much more smarter than the generations before us. Heheheheheheheheeh

I read this morning now with the crisis the americans are saving money again ( which they did NOT do during the good years ) And ironically the Trashuries hopes to get that money when the chinese start buying less Trashuries
Ain't it a joke ? Save worhtless paper money to buy worthless trashuries ? Too little too late

I'm reading Bonner's The New Empire of Debt. When  El Duce took office in 1921  Italy's debt was 93 billion lire. By 1923 the New York Times estimated that it was 405 billion--Yeah, I guess El Duce stopped publishing the M3  so someone had to estimate it; aint that right Ben?  Oh, and  the trains still didn't run on time.  In 1919 the debt was only 17 billion. 17 to 405 in only four years. It is doomed to failure, just as the Pope's 10,000 Papal Bulls was doomed.   The American empire (such as it was) is passing into it's last phase.  Empires  begin in deceit which would be the Holy Arch Angel Woodrow Wilson killing 500,000 Americans in WWl, "to make the world safe for democracy."  Sorry George, God didn't inspire that line in you.  He liked  the Arch Angel more better.  After deceit comes the  farce. Well, we've had many but I suspect --TARpit might be the finale. And what a finale it is, huh? Historians will have to give us the thumbs up on comedy! Disaster is next and it has a face too. A face that goes  "Duh" for the money.

Awe,  look at this! One of our hosts wants to become a virus just like us. C'mon world! everyone can't be the virus. Someone has to be the host.

"Feed me sucker." --Little Shoppe of Horrors

http://tinyurl.com/n3q3aa

"Fed up with the LDP, voters turned overwhelmingly to the opposition Democratic Party of Japan, which ran a populist-leaning platform with plans for cash handouts to families with children and expanding the social safety net."

Let's see now, how can  Japan raise  money for the chee-drins? Sell U.S bonds? Ha, if they really cared about the chee-drins they'd leave U.S bonds to them. They'll probably be yielding about three hundred percent in a few more years.

Benny Boo did you see this part? This  is your weed garden on water.
"Japan has had three prime ministers in three years, all of whom were deeply unpopular for their perceived lack of leadership and for failing to get the country out of its deepening economic morass."

"The Democrats are also proposing toll-free highways, free high schools, income support for farmers, monthly allowances for job seekers in training, a higher minimum wage and tax cuts. The estimated bill comes to 16.8 trillion yen ($179 billion) if fully implemented starting in fiscal year 2013 — and critics say that will only further bloat Japan's already massive public debt."

What no war? You have lower taxes, raise welfare payments and start a war if you really want to screw things up good and proper. We'll send over our former prez to show you how to do these things.  Unless he's in  detox. In which case we'll send the one before that. Unless he's in the whore house. And really, I can't say I would blame him if he was.  Have a cigar when your done Bill. Before the sea-hag from hell gets them outlawed.

"The Democrats' plan to give families 26,000 yen ($275) a month per child through junior high is meant to ease parenting costs and encourage more women have babies. Japan's population of 127.6 million peaked in 2006, and is expected to fall below 100 million by the middle of the century."

Too bad the pacific ocean isn't "shovel ready." They could've built a bridge from Mexifornia  to Japan.

In Belgium when you have 6 children your child support income is that of a starting university engineer
If you have 12 children you are rich for 20 years
Legal aliens understand this very well ; they import all children of the tribe and declare them theirs
They get child money and dole money with which they buy a Mercedez or Coupe BMW and an older house they fix up
with a dozen family on the dole as well . The children all have medical care of course
It is these children that are supposed to work and pay taxes for our graying population ( ridiculous them working they just
are goint to do the same as their parents ) Japan on the other hand sees the need for more taxpaying children. Except the scheme only works if they tax to death the worker bees and give the money to the breeders .

It is unbelievable but in social, medical and government affairs Belgium n USA n Japan rank as nr 18 and the Brits are ahead of us all . Transparancy of course does not mean they are better ; it only means they hide less because apart from the Germans all other neighbouring nations come to us for our medical facilities quality and shorter waiting lists

Maybe if Little Ben waters  Reagan's grave enough he'll rise up  to become the  emergency Gipper.   "Well...well...now there I go again."

Another  option is that the traitors in the District of China  will turn over federal and/or nationalized state property to china, such as toll roads and public water works.

BO talks like a good socialist but he works for wallstreet. Even his health care reform is suspect when there are 3,500 pharmaceutical lobbyists pulling  for it.  He's a yes man for money. And the money likes china.  >:(

I'm pretty sure the Chinese can buy whatever they want with their money. And I'm pretty sure Canada can sell them whatever they want. And, oh yeah, isn't that free trade, the very wonderful thing that is "good for America and good for Americans?"

They need shiploads of energy  to support existing factory production and to support an increase in production--(I guess they're expecting Martians to come down and pick up where we left off). I'm pretty sure too they use energy to power their factories to produce  junk for  walmart. Is the U.S complaining about that too?

All that money out in plain view. I guess King Knobhead and his sachigoths are on vacation.

The Asians are so un-fooled  by and so un-impressed  with  the Synchronized Simpletons they may check mate the whole "qualitative easing" game with their actions--and with their threats to unleash the bond vigilantes.  Not to worry tough, un-silence is golden. BO's  "a chicken in every pot"  may well be answered with  "a Shay's Rebellion in every Town Hall."
