"KOTCT Member of the Year," Step 2
September 07, 2008, 11:12:50 AM
Okay everyone, we have some great nominees.

Now, Step 2.

If you wish, I will run the election, as I did the nomination process.

If some feel I shouldn't, please post here, and we can hold the election some other way.

Based on what's posted, I could open an election thread tomorrow, and we could get on with it.

I would suggest again, that the voting be secret.  I would save the voting posts so that if there were a question, there would be a record as to how the member got elected.

So, please let me know.  Shall I get the election started tomorrow (Monday), or do you wish to follow some other path?

By the way, here are the nominees.  Three others asked to have their names removed from consideration.

1.  TKO
2.  Ellekitty
3.  Twoshadows
4.  humpybong
5.  Triggersmob
6.  Nevol

 :) :) :) :)

I see no reason why you should not run the election. I also agree that voting should be secret, by PM perhaps? If no one objects to how it will be run I think starting the voting tommorrow will be fine.

Appreciate your efforts CoinCrusader. Just remember, when counting, you can always take off your shoes! If that fails go to Mountain Lady and use her fingers and toes as well. And should the need arise, due to heavy voting, MedicMichelle along with the rest of your youngins should do the trick! We are very fortunate to have such an involved family residing in the mountains of Colorado and WE really are thankful for your dedication to this group!

This probably isn't very appropriate, however Twoshadows' comments on counting reminded me of something I had forgotten.

Twenty years ago I met Stan Musial.  For members outside the U.S., he was one of the all-time great baseball players.

Stan was talking to a group and tossed in a little joke.  He said that if you ran out of fingers, all you needed was a hole in your pocket.

Make of that what you will.

Anyway, I'll get the election site set up, and away we go!!

LOL! I had the pleasure of meeting Stan The Man when I was a kid. I had about six baseballs with me and I was pleasently surprised how willing he was to sign every one of them for me ;D
