I sincerely hope that all KOTCT members are proud of their homeland, and believe it's the best country in the world.
As our annual July 4 celebration nears, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to have been born, and live in the United States.
There are many things I am unhappy with: Do-nothing administration and Congress, open borders, over-the-top taxes, a war(s) we shouldn't be involved in, out-sourcing of jobs, and far too many politicians interested only in power rather than "serving" the people.
That said, what a wonderful country this is! Many places in the world would lock up, or shoot, people who protest. We are an extremely generous country, perhaps too much so. We are a patriotic country in which most citizens are proud of the flag and what it represents. We are a beautiful country, with most every kind of geography imaginable. We have a tremendous history. How might things be different if the U.S. had not stepped into WWI and WWII?
I could ramble on, but would just like to say I am happy to be a United States citizen. This country is the greatest in the world!!
