Greetings, Fellow Knights!

Our friend from India has sent me a picture of this medallion, and has requested that we try to identify it for him.  Does anyone recognise anything about it?

His and my most sincere thanks
KT

Do add this coin to my collection?

It is rather similar to a Crusader type coin that would have been used in the near east.

I knew I'd seen it somewhere before. It's illustrated in Meshorer's book "TestiMoney".

It's not a coin, it's a lead seal. Or a copy of one, anyway; the style of lettering doesn't match what's illustrated in the book, and the artwork is cruder.

It depicts Jerusalem during the Crusader period, with the Dome of the Rock converted into a church on the left, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre with it's roof open to the sky on the right.

This copy has presumably been sold as a souvenir in Jerusalem.

Dear Ellekity, Scotishmoney and Sap:

Thanks for your kind information.

Yes!  It was bought in JERUSALEM Flee Market.    But it is not a copy.   The Obverse and Reverse does not appears, to be a copy.

Thanks, again.

Sincerely, George

It is by giving others, we actually receive from G
