Hi there
Recently I got 2 interesting coins from Kyrgyzstan ( former USSR state) . I want to share their images with you.
The history of The Great Silk Road connecting the East and West from the earliest times amount to several thousand years. For thousands of years the Great Silk Road made a bond between people and cultures. According to generally received opinions of researchers, three branches of the Great Silk Road crossed the territory of Kyrgyzstan in the ancient times. These 2 coins are dedicated to it. Uzgen architectural complex is a unique architectural monument of the global importance related to the best samples of Central Asian art of building XI-XII centuries. The complex is situated in the territory of the ancient Ozghon city, which in IX-X centuries was considered to be the largest trading center located at the crossroads of the Great Silk Way routes.
Second coin is dedicated to Tashrabat- it is a historical and cultural heritage of the Great Silk Road. A mystery of Tashrabat is that of unicity of its architecture, whose analoque has not been found among the architectural monuments of Middle East thus far
Both coins are made from Ag 925/Au999, weight 28,28 grams and mintage 1500 ex.
