It was long out of circulation by then, replaced by a coin.  BTW Belgian Railways had lovely steam locomotives until they were replaced by the electrics.   
 
Yes we had a hundred or so free tickets and I remember going to the seaside like 80 minutes by train and then at the seaside to church and then an afternoon at the beach
Those trains had very little double sidewise sliding windows and when the wind was wrong the ash and unburned coal would drift in and everybody would curse me for opening them
I think those trains were replaced mostly by Diesel engines and probably only later by electric trains
I wanted some of thos locomotives but Marklin was so expensive we could not afford them
