Searching for polymer banknotes
March 02, 2008, 10:52:35 AM
Polymer notes is on my top of the list right now..
I am looking for a reliable ebay seller who has a large selection to offer as Buy it Now.

The ebayer I have gotten those in my collection hasn't added any new polymer notes for a while.
So I am searching for another ebay seller preferrably someone located in USA.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
mila

Guys,
Do you not have any suggestions for me  ???
Looks to me no one else is interested in polymer notes. Or have I been forgotten.

I'm feeling neglected :'( :'( :'(

Hi Mila,
I have a small collection of Polymer banknotes - I have purchased majority directly fom http://www.polymernotes.com/cat-polymer.html who is Australian. I have only brought one lot of notes from ebay (which I have been very happy with). That seller has now just started his own website, which I think is http://www.banknotes-international.com/. As I said, I have only made one purchase from this seller to date (a collection of paper and polymer world notes) and was very happy with the quality of the notes and the information supplied.

Mila, If there is a particular note (or notes) you are after, I will be seeing Trevor Wilkins (from the Aussie website mentioned) at a show at the end of the month, so, I can check it out if you like.

Thank you, Toblye
I am fairly new in this polymer adventure and don't have very many samples, compared to the many that are out there. Also cannot afford to get them all at once (wish I could  :P ) I must budget myself on a monthly basis.
Most of these I purchased from eBay seller Banknotes-International and doesn't have many new polymers added.  And YES I check his auction every day to prepare for the 'monthy' purchase. Which is why I posted for other polymer sellers as a backup.

This is a link to the sample I have accumulated so far... http://www.coincommunity.org/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=731 .....as you can see not many.

Thanks, mila

BTW I checked Mr Wilkins' site and his asking price are way to high for my pocket right now.

I collect Australian Polymer Banknotes so if there is anything you want let me know.

Have a few duplicates.  All so collect paper pre-decimal and decimal Australian notes.

There is a short, illustrated article about polymer notes in the current issue of The Numismatist, written by Wendell Wolka. I haven't read it yet as I just received the issue.
