I believe I have about 1/16 Irish in me anyway.
So if the Aboriginals can claim to be Aboriginal with even less than that in them, then I sure as hell can claim to be Irish if I want to.
Now, do I want to?

Before you get too carried away with your 'wee' people, I thought you would want to know that neither I nor William will be kissing your blarney stone anytime soon.

CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT YOU MEAN?

William of Orange, ie William III of England and Ireland, and II of Scotland(1689-1702).  "Stinking" Billy, Duke of Cumberland defeated the Jacobites at Culloden Moor in 1746.

My ancestors were Orange and Green, so really I don't find disfavour with either and am right proud of my Scots-Irish, an' Irish heritage, in addition to the Scots of course.  I grew up with a taste of that IRA/UVF cr@p and could care the less for either.

Why does everybody wanna kiss some stupid old germy stone?  Canna figure that out in a country where they have a higher ratio of redheaded women than anywhere else an' I know the lasses would be more the inviting my pucker than some stupid rock.

I'm 75% German. 25% Irish. My dad's mom was an O'Brien, and our branch of the O'Briens supposedly trace ou ancestry back to Brian Boru, Prince of Munster, oft credited with driving the vikings out of Ireland. Anyway, happy St. Patty's day!

I simply can not even immagine anyone having to be driven out of Ireland.  Surely you are joking!!!!!!

Yep, only fools stayed there - the good ones got out whilst the going was good. :)
