Sorry, but Christmas songs that are all white, cold and cozy fall pretty flat down here, where Christmas is sweltering, sticky and (depending on your latitude) cyclone-prone. It drives me crazy when I hear them played in the shopping centres.

I'd vote for the following list:

3. Once in Royal David's City

5. Once upon a Hillside (An Australian carol to the tune of "Waltzing Matilda")

Steve, I like your picks except "Feliz Navidad". Not that it's a bad song, it's just that they play the snot out of it up here on the radio, it gets kinda old after a while. I love Christmas. But I was kinda tired of most Christmas songs a long time ago. I do like anything by Bing Crosby though.

 I like the Sgt. Pepper album which is "actually"  a Christmas album since Santa looks so much like a psychedelic mushroom--some of which are found under the shade of pine trees.

Okay, I also like the   Nat and  Natalie duet, especially "Merry Christmas to you."
