COINS-TEE SHIRTS--MUGS
June 29, 2009, 09:05:26 AM
[/font]WELL A FEW DAYS HAVE GONE BY AND THE TOPIC OF KEEPSAKES HAS SORT OF DROPPED OFF THE PAGES----IS THERE ANY MOVEMENT TOWARD NEW METALS FOR THE CLUB  OR MAYBE SOME TEE SHIRTS AND/OR MUGS TO HELP RAISE MONEY FOR THE CASTLE UP KEEP?  JUST CURIOUS BUT I DID NOT WANT THESE IDEAS FORGOTTEN
           YOUR SERVANT--THE TEMPLAR!

P.S. I KNOW WHERE TO GET SOME NICE WOODEN NICKELS IF ONE OF THE HEAD KNIGHTS WOULD TELL ME HOW MANY AND WHERE TO SHIP THEM----I MIGHT BE ABLE TO SELL A FEW PIECES OF ARMOR TO PAY FOR THEM!  WHAT SAY YOU? :o :o :o

Regarding medals, I wrote an e-mail to Daniel Carr several days ago, and followed it up with another one this morning.

Just waiting to hear from him.

One blessing, as well as a problem, is that we have no "Head Knight."  That's part of our charm.  If somebody wants something accomplished, he/she can take the bull by the horns and do it.  (Also "take the ball and run with it," and "run it up a flagpole and see if anyone salutes!"

The woodies from years past have all been good, in my opinion. And I'm very excited to hear from D. Carr on the medals. I'm also very interested in the mugs. I would cherish having something to remind me of the castle that I can drink my ale from.

I should have answers on the 2009 Woodies and the mugs in the next few days. If someone can come up with a Knight (preferably on horseback or standing with his sword and COINS) Tee-shirt I would suggest you jump on the bandwagon and go with it. Just don't get carried away with production! Get an estimate on low numbers and your chosen artwork and get back with us. I am sure many would order a tee-shirt if the were available. Will follow up on the mugs and woodies soon!

I have a meeting today on the lasered wooden nickels Templar so perhaps we can compare prices? Our last two woodies have been very quick and professionally done at a very good price which did make us a few bucks in the end. Should have something by tomorrow as Kramer Kreations have had a few weeks to dream up a design for us. I just have not had the time to follow up.

I have one dozen (12) metal mugs (aluminum) on order and should have them in a couple of weeks. It seems most of the metal mugs have gone up drastically (imagine that) so I opted for the aluminum and a special rate if I purchased 12. Will list the purchase price with shipping in the KOTCT Store as soon as I see the final costs. My goal is to keep them at $15 or less but shipping will play a role as always we ALL will pay the same exact cost regardless of the destination. Check the store in the next couple of weeks and place your order then.

The lasered woodies are also in the planning stages. The design for the reverse is done but still working on an obverse design. When that step is complete they can be produced within a week and a half. They will also be going into the KOTCT STORE when the time comes.

Templar I believe we may have used the same place in 2007. They do their artwork with painting. I have since used a local supplier, whom I know, and he has been very good to us. Price is right and we have NO minimum order. I am still seeking a sketch of a winged dragon for our obverse but have the Knight on a Horse for the reverse. This has been proclaimed 2009 The Year of the Dragon (Key Date Coins are our dragons) so we are working off of that idea for our woodie and our medallions this year.

Anyone have a nice front view of a winged dragon in a sketch you can send to me? Need to do something quickly as our window is now about 2 weeks before we come up in the production schedule on both the wooden dollars and the mugs!
