This little beauty is a Mexican silver 8 Reales piece. It's an overdate example, 1884/3. Quite obviously, the piece circulated in China extensively. I love this coin because the legends are perfectly legible, and the chops (at least the ones on top) are also legible. Now if only I could read Chinese! Anyway, this is my coin fix for the month.

I picked up a few other little odds and ends, including a Fiji Florin in G, two Australian Florins in F/XF, a shilling and sixpence from the scrapbin, and two Indian pieces: a 1/2 1916 Rupee and a 1/4 1881 Rupee.
