I received my envelope today with 2 surprise coins inside of it.  There was a lovely $5 coin with an Eagle (or hawk I think)from Namibia on it, that has gone from Namibia, to the UK, to Australia, and finally to a home in Texas, USA.    An experienced world traveler!  The second coin in a lovely Aussie florin, celebrating QEII's visit to Australia in 1954.  It is graced by a Kangaroo, and the British Lion. 

Thank you so much for thinking of me, and your generosity in sending two such lovely coins halfway 'round the world!

This is the info I received about the coin from the member (kena) from "Mom & Dad forum" who sent it to me.  His mother lives in Namibia. He's sending me another N$1 bird coin soon, but he only has one of it. Kena is originally from the US, has been in the UK for a few years.

The N$5 coin depicts the African Fish Eagle ("Haliaeetus vocifer")
The African Fish Eagle is strikingly colored in white, black and chestnut. It is often found in pairs where large trees grow and is usually seen in flight or perched on a dead bough over water. It hunts from its perch, swooping down at fish, catching them in its talons. The Fish Eagle occurs throughout Namibia, wherever there are large permanent water bodies. The N$5 coin is 25mm in diameter, is golden in colour and is made from an aluminum/bronze alloy with a milled rim.

I watched a doco about this bird and one of them swooped down to the water and flew away with a huge fish in each talon.  Talk about strength and grip!! The 2 fish were approx 20 - 24 ins long & each must have weighed a few kilos.
