Here's an unusual coin

This is actually a porcelain coin, which were "minted" by the Meisen China people. 1921 Munsterberg...

These did see some light circulation but were actually more fundraising receipts along the lines of many of the topical notgelds.  But they are fascinating, and some ie the Meissen porcelain examples can actually become quite pricey.

I do find this piece very desirable, as well as, unique! Glad I got the opportunity to see it and do have to ask how common, or should I say, available are these in the world today?

Two,
The dealer I got this from has a bunch more of you're interested. They range in price from $15.00 - $25.00. Let me know if I can help.

Dustin,
I'm sure they did break during normal use, which is why they're not to easily found, and weren't used for any real length of time.

Dumanyu are you needing anything from the U.S or Canada?

Two,
I've got a bunch from Canada, especially since I live about 20 minutes away from Ontario. I don't collect a lot of U.S. Coins, mainly for menetary reasons. I spent about $130.00 yesterday to get all the German, and the Venice coin. $130.00 might get me a fourth of a good Morgan. U.S. coins are just too pricey for me, at least for the good ones.

If anyone needs some Canadian coins, let me know, I've got a few good ones.

If they are small, they might not brake so easily due to a more compact shape...

Nice coin, very unusal. I have never seen any thing like that before. I did not know that China used an alphabet caricature like the U.S. (i.e. Munsterberg ). Yes I'm new to world coins.

Pocket,
Please don't take offense, as I was not intending to belittle you. I was just amused, that's all. I meant you no harm.

Pocket,
It reminded me of one of my secretarys wanting to test the answering machine at our office. She got on the intercomm to tell everyone "Don't answer the phone because I'm testing the answering machine". Where upon she dialed the number from one of our other lines. When the line she called started ringing, she switched over to answer that line. I then said, "Ah Lois, that was you". Sometimes we can be so amusing! ;D
