It was on 9-12-2007 that (Terry) Twoshadows set the stage for Knights of the Coin Table to start building a castle online.
The first true attempt to set up an online forum which was done about 10 days later using a shareware program called "Phorum". This program was really a DUD and didn't do anything for the Knights other that show us that what we needed something a little more powerful and secure.
It was on 9-30-07 the first installation of the program we all use now was uploaded into its cyber slot in GoDaddy's vast array of server hardware and on 10-03-07 the Admin username "Twoshadows" was first entered into its memberlist.
For those who have been around to experience all of the growing pains that took place from this point, no further explanation of how and what we have acheived since then is necessary and I want to thank all of you for your patience and understanding, and for those who didn't get this opportunity, I'm afraid no explanation of what took place would be possible. To even attempt to recall all the goof-ups, gliches, gremlins and not to forget all of the necessary and un-necessary mistakes made by ME (TKO) trying to figure out what did what and everything else this software was and was not capable of doing, would be virtually impossible. Maybe a thread called: "Your Most Memorable Growing Pain on the KOTCT Forum" might be in order. Then yet, maybe not. I really don't want to remember most of what happend or the time spent trying to fix it.
After all the pains and a few other software additions (Bells & Whistles) the KOTCT Forum is what it is today. Safe, secure, functional, reliable and most of all FUN for all to enjoy. It has been running on autopilot for months now with only about an hour a month of maintenance to do to keep things smooth. Short of having some type of GoDaddy issue, I believe that it will continue to do so until it is told otherwise.
All for now,
TKO
