The reason I purchased it:

But never looked at this before the note arrived, this is one of the more macabre scenes I have ever seen on a piece of paper money, well outside of 1920's German notgeld:

Notice the scenes from the Pampas rancho slaughterhouse.  This vignette is unusual in that it was directly created for the Latin American market by ABNCO, and perhaps even just for this bank in Gualeguaycha.  Many vignettes used on Latin American notes from this period can also be linked to notes issued by banks in N. America, it is probable that the vignette of the young miss, and the sailor are found on other N. American and perhaps Latin American notes, but the slaughterhouse scene, with horns, skulls, bones, and even vultures on the roof, surely this maybe unique.  This really is an incredible amount of detail engraved for this scene.

Fascinating note and well-done detail vignettes!
The scythe in the girl's hand looks a bit dangerous too...I think I'll keep my distance from her, lol.

I would like to know why she's out cutting wheat in that outfit!  Sunburn for sure on that delicate skin.  However, it certainly explains why the young gentleman in the right hand lower corner is staring toward the left.  ^^

Do add this coin to my collection?

Very nice and I think for the time and place not macabre but every year you harvest and slaughter and pickle or smoke beaf for wintertime
On the other hand I have two cocker spaniels and the complete disregard of the two dogs in the scene for the smell of warm blood and beaf
is earelly unnatural  :)
