Title: Surprise Package In The Mail
Post by: CoinCrusader42 on January 24, 2008, 08:46:12 AM
Today's mail brought an unexpected package from Muckeye.

The package contained three coins and an audio tape of songs by Slim Dusty.

I look forward to hearing some Australian songs, but first will have to borrow a tape player from the grandkids.

The coins were a 1951 Florin, a 2001 Queensland 20 Cent Piece, and a 1988 5 Dollar coin.  I don't think I have ever seen a 5 Dollar Australian coin before.  Very impressive!

Thank you Bob.  I really appreciate the items you sent.  Very thoughtful.

Bob is very generous.

You are one step ahead of me, I have never seen an Aussie $5 coin.
I'll buy one, oneday.

Enjoy Gary.
Slim is the man who 'wrote the book' about and of Oz country music.
Let me know what you think of it.
regards.
