Title: 1943P Half Dollar

It's really unusual for Kitty to buy American coins, but this one was just so lovely I couldn't resist it.  The photo doesn't do it justice at -all.-

I love it. ;D

Very nice Kitty! The coins designed by Adolph A. Weinman are awesome, which is why the Walkers are the main set I'm working on completing.

Dear Kitty:
In my opinion, Walkie Halves are the most beautiful coins of U.S.
I do keep a coin of similar year in my pocket, always.
Surely, you will like 50-c commemoratives of your Great Country.   Please  give a try.
Sincerely
George

Dear AdamL:
It is great that you collect Walkie Halves.   During last November, I have completed the set.
I have some extras.   If you like, we can trade
Sincerely
George

Watch it Kitty, you are sliding down a slippery slope when you get into these Teddy Roosevelt inspired coins, ala the WL half, SL Quarter, Merc, Saint etc. ;D

I'm open to trading. I don't have any of those barbers you need though. If you need anything else, let me know and I'll see what I've got.

Oh, I know Scottish.  I do have several mercury dimes in an actual Dansco album, but other than that American coins just don't set me on fire the way foreign do.  This particular coin was just so pretty I couldn't pass it up.

Very nice coin, Kitty! I have a few in my collection, and I think they are the most beautiful coin produced by the U.S. Mint. Even in lower grades they still retain some beauty! Another great coin I really like is the Buffalo (oops! I mean Indian Head five-cent coin to all you purists out there!) It's another beautiful design especially in high mint-state grades. Own a few of those too! 8) 8) 8)

My prob is I love the Saints, but only the seriously nice high wire and high relief MCMVII versions, and nothing else.  But I like them not enough to let $15K plus for one.  But a nice portrait Mary QoS Testoon at that price might could light my fire.

What a beautiful coin!

I bought a Dansco Album for them a few years back, but probably should have saved my money.  There's no way I'll ever complete my set.

Hard to believe I often had them in my pocket as a kid.  Sure wish I had saved a few.

 :) :) :) :)

I bet the ice creams and candy was a bigger drawcard than saving them......

Mr.AdamL:  Thanks.  At present, I am concentrating on Barber Halves only.   I will check and contact you.
Mr.Coincrusader42.   If I am able to complete it, why can't You??   You can complete them.,
Oh!  Mr.Scottishmoney!   Now-a-days, it is interesting to read your, comments.   But, affordability of HIGH GRADE is quite impossible.  Also the 'au' coins.   They are prohibitted, here and limitation of holdings are there.
I have received 'copies' of those beautiful coins, for Christimas from NEW London, CT., U.S.A
Sincerely
George

About a year ago I held two complete sets of Walkers in very high grades (both unc.) that took the collector most of his life to put together. He was currently working on his third set and had a set of circulated Walkers as well. Needless to say I was beyond impressed with his dedication and the results of his labor. Absolutely stunning and extremely valuable!
