I've always loved the picture of Mt. Fuji on that coin, and felt the opposite side was a pure travesty.  I think it's a nice piece of modern art, with the Japanese Chrysanthemum symbolized over the globe, but it also just looks tacky beside the graceful Mt. Fuji.

But the design by the artist is neither here nor there.

Matty, you've picked up a lovely coin!  I hope you enjoy it, and I didn't know you collected asian coins, too.

And, I emailed you with the news that I'd finally mailed off your packet, yesterday.  Got all the quarters in it, in multiples for you.  Nearly 2 pounds of coins!  I think that's close to a kilo?

Yep', I think a kilo is about 2.2 lbs...Google is saying 2.2046 lbs anyway
I hope the postage wasn't too mean for you - that does sound on the heavy side!  :o

I don't personally collect Asian coins, I've just photographed some of the coins from a pair of huge (10kg lots I got recently, I'm still sorting them!) and of course, these are nearly all new to me as I am still a relative beginner so it's a learning experience for me..
