Wow! both of those coins seem extraordinary :) - what is the bird, as it seems it should be the same in both, albeit with a much better design in the modern...I really love the 1847 1/8 Tical, looks rare!

Handstruck during King Narodom I reign (1835-1904) before a French protectorate attached to Cochin-China was established and Franc coinage was introduced in 1860 which Cambodia later became a part of Frech Indo-China in 1885.  I know the bird is called a Hamza bird, but can't really find any information about them yet.
