Title: Cook Islands
Post by: ElleKitty on December 14, 2007, 02:42:18 PM
Proof "set" of Cook Islands coins.  I think I managed to mix up the one and two cent obverses with their reverses.

Elle,
I've got a Cook Island coin that got me warned on the CT website, because of the idol pictured on the coin. Which some people took offense to, although I fail to see what the heck is wrong with it.

I know exactly which coin you're talking about.  The Fertility God Tangaroa.  As a fertility god, he's anatomically correct.  That ain't a roll of coins hanging on the front.

I've got one too.  ^^  Haven't posted pictures of it though.  I do have a lovely Haitian commemorative coin from the Year of the Woman that I keep expecting to get me a warning, but it hasn't yet.
